Your Role:
As the Service Delivery Manager, you will take full ownership of service management activities within the Strategic Infrastructure (SI) division. You'll be instrumental in managing a UK-based Managed Service Provider, ensuring exceptional support and maintenance for MS 365 and SI applications. Your mission? To deliver outstanding application service availability and continuous improvement across the SaaS-based SI product stack!
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all SI-related Service Management activities with enthusiasm and precision.
* Regularly assess and report on Managed Service Provider performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Manage a team of 3 service desk engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Design and implement a strategic roadmap for Service Management, influencing key stakeholders along the way.
* Embed service management processes across the SI unit, working closely with Change Management teams.
* Own the service operating models, ensuring smooth transitions and collaboration with partners like the Great Grid Partnership.
* Provide cradle-to-grave ownership of IT services, integrating service desk capabilities seamlessly.
* Identify and manage risks effectively, making informed decisions that drive value.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in managing IT as a Service with a strong grasp of ITSM frameworks.
* Track record of successfully interfacing with both internal and third-party service providers.
* Strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A solid understanding of application technologies and business processes.
* Technical experience with a variety of products and technologies is a plus.
Qualifications:
* Essential: Degree in a relevant discipline; ITSM certifications (e.g., ITIL v3 foundation or ISO20000).
* Desirable: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP or Prince2).
