Website QA Analyst

Responsible To (Job Title): Lead Developer

Location: Gloucester Head Office

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum

Main Purpose:

To support the development team by thoroughly testing web development tickets and identifying bugs before deployment. This role ensures timely, reliable QA feedback for all site improvements and new features—ultimately protecting revenue, reducing delays, and improving development throughput.

QA Analyst responsibilities:

  • Manually test website features, bug fixes, and updates prior to deployment.
  • Collaborate with developers during ticket reviews to understand requirements and edge cases.
  • Perform cross-browser and device testing to ensure functionality across platforms.
  • Log bugs, track issues, and document QA outcomes using internal systems.
  • Conduct regression testing to prevent previously resolved bugs from reappearing.
  • Support performance and user acceptance testing (UAT) for releases.
  • Work closely with developers to align QA processes with development cycles.
  • Help reduce time between development and go-live by enabling rapid feedback loops.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of website functionality, front-end UX, and how users interact with ecommerce sites.
  • Ability to clearly document bugs, reproduce issues, and communicate findings.
  • Curious mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a technical environment.
  • Comfortable using browsers’ developer tools and basic debugging techniques.
  • Collaborative and proactive in working across departments (e.g. development, ecommerce, marketing).

Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with writing or maintaining automated browser tests (e.g. Selenium, LambdaTest, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with cross-browser and responsive testing tools.
  • Exposure to agile or ticket-based workflows (e.g. Jira, Trello).
  • Interest in coding or development with a view to future career growth in tech.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • No formal qualifications required, though a relevant degree, course, or apprenticeship in IT, Computer Science, or Digital Media is a plus.
  • Suitable for recent graduates, bootcamp alumni, or career switchers with a passion for QA, web development, or ecommerce.
  • Experience working on websites or digital projects-either professionally or personally-is advantageous.
