Business Analyst

The Role
Hybrid working with 1-2 days a week in the Oxford office.
Working closely with stakeholders, the Business Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis to understand and define business processes. This role is key to identifying problems, highlighting opportunities for improvement, and translating project visions into clear, unambiguous requirements that lead to successful solutions. You will be reporting to the Senior Business Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Senior Business Analyst to establish a standard business analysis approach and language to be used across the change portfolio.
- Mapping current "as-is" state structures and processes using techniques like value chain and business process mapping.
- Analysing data gathered on current processes to produce options and recommendations for key decisions.
- Developing and mapping "to-be" processes and structures, identifying the associated changes and their impacts to support effective implementation.
- Eliciting and capturing business requirements for new or improved tools and technology.
- Proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to align processes and standards where appropriate.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an individual with proven experience and a strong toolkit of business analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognised professional Business Analyst qualification (e.g., BCS, IIBA).
- Expert knowledge of requirements elicitation, definition, and management.
- Experience with organisational design methodology and process design.
- Experience using value chain mapping techniques.
- The ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work cohesively within a team and build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Expert proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with an ability to create strong visual outputs.
