Business Application Analyst Apprentice (Portsmouth City Council)
Role
- You will undertake an apprenticeship - Level 3 IT Solutions Technician, developing skills in being analytical, problem solving, and application lifecycle management covering analysis, design, procurement, build, configuration, support, capacity planning and de-commissioning.
- You will work closely with the business application analysts.
- You will be providing general support, advice, and guidance to IT colleagues and to system users.
Training
Firebrand’s sector-leading Level 3 IT Solutions Technician (L3ITST) Apprenticeship Programme trains apprentices to implement and maintain IT systems and solutions to meet their business’ needs, apprentices will learn how to apply a professional framework to gather and analyse requirements; enabling design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions providing ongoing support both directly to end users and for the underlying IT services.
Firebrands course is delivered either Online (online live instructor led), or face to face in the classroom environment (your choice). Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Learning Mentors (LMs) and world-leading trainers prepare apprentices to work across multiple sectors.
Completion of this apprenticeship will provide learners with the following world class vendor certifications in addition to the IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship:
- CompTIA A+
- BCS Level 3 Award in Programming
Key areas covered are:
- Networking, Operating Systems & Security
- Software Solution Lifecycle
- Support for the roll-out of installation and commission of new systems or upgrades
- IT Strategies, Service Level Agreements, Business Processes
The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance but is initially a fixed-term position for 21 months.
