Control Panel Test Engineer

Position 1 Recruitment are delighted to be working with a established manufacturing company, who are seeking an experienced and skilled Control Panel Test Engineer to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct function testing, fault finding, load testing, waveform testing, harmonics testing, and current injection testing of bespoke control systems.
• Program software and process inspection/test data.
• Work with low-voltage circuitry, PLC communications, and protection relays.
• Interface with clients and inspectors, demonstrating and simulating operational conditions.
• Assist with punch list inspections and carry out rectification work as needed.
• Mark up engineering drawings and test reports in line with controlled procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in panel manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical assembly and testing tools.
• Understanding of low-voltage and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with testing principles and safety protocols.
• Experience working with PLCs and control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with AX or MRP systems is desirable.
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing discipline (or equivalent) is desirable.
