Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has emerged to become a Business Support Manager within the Midwifery, Women and Family Health Directorate at Powys Teaching Health Board. The opportunity is offered as a permanent position.
The Business Support Manager will undertake a range of duties including business administration, governance, data management and reporting as outlined in the Job Description. The post holder will provide a high level of business administration support to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of key data, maintain core databases and spreadsheets, and liaise effectively with internal and external partners to support the Directorate and wider Health Board's operational and governance requirements.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the senior management team within Midwifery, Women and Family Health Services by providing high-quality business and administrative support across a range of operational and governance functions.
The Business Support Manager will be responsible for coordinating delegated projects, maintaining business systems and records, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting effective communication across the Directorate and with external organisations.
They will support the Midwifery, Women and Family Health Directorate by monitoring performance information, developing and maintaining databases and administrative processes, and contributing to the achievement of local and national objectives, service developments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Knowledge
- Appropriate degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- RSA III or equivalent demonstrable experience of typing plus experience of working in an administrative/business environment
- Fully proficient in the use of IT software packages
- Experience of working in partnership with stakeholders
- Management qualification
- Ability to deal with highly complex and emotive issues
Experience
- Collation and analysing of data and present reports in a variety of formats
- Significant experience in an administrative/business role
- Extensive previous experience of working within healthcare
- Taking and transcribing detailed minutes
- Awareness of Data Protection and confidentiality legislation
- Report writing and excellent organisational and planning skills
