Radiology PACS Administrator
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic PACS Administrator to join our Radiology IT team. You will provide 1st/2nd line support for PACS/RIS, manage user access, troubleshoot imaging, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure optimal, high-quality patient-focused diagnostic services. Key requirements include strong IT skills, problem-solving, and excellent communication
Main duties of the job
Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the entire radiological team including Consultant Radiologist, Managers and Radiographers.
o Ensure the information stored on the Radiology's IT systems is accurate and easily accessible, with the aim of ensuring the department provides the highest standards of clinical care.
o Responsible for maintaining records, assessing inaccuracies and amending records accordingly.
o Work alongside the IT Systems Manager in ensuring that radiology databases are working at an optimum.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
- Level 3 qualification in an IT based subject (RSA, NVQ, A Level) plus experience of working in an administrative/office environment
- o Knowledge of complex IT databases
- Experience or knowledge of Programme Management
- Knowledge of Medical/Healthcare Terminology
- Knowledge of procedures and workflow within the radiology department
Experience
- Experience of working in a busy complex environment
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, desktop publishing and email]
- Experience of managing spreadsheets & databases
- Previous experience of working to strict deadlines with shifting priorities
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience using the WPAS and WCP System
- Experience with PACS systems
