A major UK organisation is delivering a large-scale digital transformation programme and needs an experienced Programme Office / PMO Governance Manager to bring structure, clarity, and control across a complex portfolio.

This is a hands-on role with real influence — setting up governance and then running it.

What you’ll do

  • Review current programme governance and ways of working
  • Design and embed clear, consistent PMO standards, including:
  • Programme & project planning
  • Resource allocation and utilisation tracking
  • Reporting and management information
  • Budget control
  • Risk, issue & dependency management (single RAID log)
  • Own and run governance forums:
  • Status reviews
  • RAID and resourcing reviews
  • Maintain the integrated programme plan and run regular project health checks
  • Produce board-level packs and senior stakeholder updates
  • Help define programme benefits and track them through to realisation
  • Create practical documentation that embeds long-term best practice

  • Proven track record running governance for large, complex transformation programmes
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and delivery teams
