We are recruiting an experienced ServiceNow Solutions Developer to join a global professional services organisation with an established, enterprise-wide ServiceNow platform.
This is a senior, hands-on position combining technical development with solution design and stakeholder engagement. You will translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions, building custom applications, workflows and integrations across a complex global environment.
The role offers exposure to an extensive ServiceNow estate, comprising multiple production and sub-production instances, several ServiceNow products, custom scoped applications and enterprise integrations. You will also contribute to the organisation's adoption of Now Assist, AI Agents and other emerging ServiceNow capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, configure and develop end-to-end ServiceNow solutions
- Build custom scoped applications and enterprise workflows from scratch
- Develop solutions using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions and access controls
- Design and support integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server and Import Sets
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to solution-design workshops
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through workflow automation, self-service and improved user experience
- Configure and help embed ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist and AI Agents
- Produce functional and technical designs, configuration records, testing requirements and operational documentation
- Assess the impact of ServiceNow releases, upgrades and new platform capabilities
- Provide technical expertise for escalated platform incidents and problems
- Work within Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives
Required experience:
- At least five years' hands-on experience designing, developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions
- Strong experience delivering solutions across the full life cycle, from discovery and design through to deployment and operational handover
- Proven experience building custom scoped applications
- Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, forms, notifications, access controls and catalogue items
- Experience developing ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, IntegrationHub and MID Server
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, CSS and XML
- Experience across multiple ServiceNow areas, which may include ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Security Operations, Workplace Service Delivery or Contract Management
- Strong business analysis, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage work independently and make sound technical decisions within a complex environment
Desirable experience:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification
- Experience with Now Assist, AI Agents or AI Agent Studio
- Experience working within a complex global organisation
