CAD Data Quality Analyst - £30/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire (hybrid potential) - 9 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Data Quality Analyst to join the Virtual Build and Test Operations team within the Vehicle Architecture Vehicle Engineering (VAVE) department. This team plays a pivotal role in transitioning products from the virtual world to the physical world, supporting the delivery of exceptional vehicles through a world-class Virtual Series Framework. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimisation and transformation of verification and validation strategies, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, speed, and sustainability.

Responsibilities
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Inspecting geometric data (CAD) to identify potential quality issues early in the development phase.
  • Ensuring identified issues are clearly understood by engineers and documented in a concise and actionable manner.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting findings in CAD reviews, and supporting issue resolution where required.
  • Driving compatibility and quality improvements in CAD data to support the delivery of exceptional products.
Skills Required
  • Proficiency with PLM and CAD tools, including Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (PLM), CATIA V5 (CAD), and Siemens Teamcenter (PLM).
  • Strong technical understanding of automotive architectures, systems, or commodities, with the ability to apply this knowledge in an engineering or design environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and convey it clearly both verbally and in high-quality written documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving and issue detection.
  • Ability to work independently, with confidence to seek support or clarification when required.
  • Process-oriented mindset, committed to maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads effectively, prioritising tasks and delivering within agreed timelines.
  • Technically curious, proactive, and confident in learning new tools, processes, and skills.
Desirable
  • Experience in CAD quality checking, digital mockup reviews, or virtual validation, with the ability to identify issues, assess their impact, and document findings clearly.
Day-to-Day
  • Conduct detailed inspections of CAD geometry to identify and document potential quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure issues are understood and addressed effectively.
  • Participate in CAD reviews, presenting findings and supporting issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of virtual validation processes and tools.
  • Work on future vehicle programmes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering data.
