2nd Line Support Engineer – MSP Contract

Up to £225 per day

We’re currently working with an MSP client who is looking to bring in an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer on an initial 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, client-facing environment where no two days are the same.
You’ll be supporting a range of customers, handling escalations from 1st-2nd line, and working across Microsoft environments to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a key escalation point for 1st line support
- Troubleshooting issues across Microsoft 365, Windows, and Active Directory
- Completing some more complex work through Virtualisation Tools
- Supporting users across multiple client environments
- Managing tickets and working to SLAs in a busy service desk
- Communicating directly with clients and providing regular updates
- Escalating more complex issues to 3rd line where needed
What we’re looking for:
- Solid 2nd line support experience within an MSP (essential)
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals
- Virtualisation Tools (Hyper V, VMware)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and SLAs
- Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
