I am currently partnered with a world-leading architecture and design practice that is looking for a Technology Support specialist to join their team. This is a key role for the practice, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across both their UK and their overseas studio.
Location: London (Central) (Onsite)
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000
Job Type: Permanent
Experience: 4+ years in a technical support role
Key Responsibilities
- Studio Support: Acting as the first point of contact for all IT queries across hardware, software, and networking for local and remote users.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Handling the setup, deployment, and repair of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
- System Administration: Managing user accounts and licensing within Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Exchange Online
- Operational Support: Managing AV/meeting room setups and implementing desk moves or hardware changes as required
- Documentation: Maintaining the asset management list and creating knowledge base articles for common troubleshooting.
Skills & Experience Required
- Technical Breadth: Strong troubleshooting experience across Windows Desktop and Server (Mac OS experience is a plus)
- Networking: A solid understanding of networking fundamentals (experience with Cisco Meraki or Hyper-V is desirable)
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific applications such as Adobe, Rhino, and Autodesk is a bonus
- Sector Experience: Previous experience working within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) sector is preferred
- Attributes: A proactive problem-solver with a logical approach and the ability to handle different personalities within a creative studio environment.
