📍 Location: Maidenhead- Hybrid 3 days on site/ 2 days on site

💰 Day Rate / Salary: £300 a day

🕒 Contract Type: Contract (6 Months +)

🚀 About the Role:

We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that’s looking for a mid-to-senior-level Windows Server Engineer to support their enterprise infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimising core systems while contributing to ongoing transformation and upgrade projects.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both hands-on engineering and being a trusted go-to expert for complex server environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, support, and upgrade Windows Server environments (2012–2022)
• Lead on infrastructure improvements, server migrations, and patching strategies
• Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
• Manage virtualised environments (Hyper-V or VMware)
• Automate tasks and scripts using PowerShell
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and monitoring processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and security initiatives

📌 Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience across Windows Server platforms (ideally including 2019/2022)
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory and core Microsoft services
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Experienced with Hyper-V and/or VMware environments
• Understanding of enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault)
• VPN Knowledge
• Confident working in fast-paced, enterprise or multi-site environments

🎯 Nice-to-Haves:

• Microsoft certifications (MCSA / MCSE / Azure certs)
• Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
• Exposure to SCCM, Intune, or modern endpoint management tools
• Understanding of ITIL processes and change management
