The Role

Reporting to the Senior Data Architect, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency and reliability of data across systems and business processes.

You will also:

- Be responsible for the management of the Data Governance Forum to ensure DQ issues are recorded and tracked to resolution, collaborating with data stewards, business analysts and IT to determine resolutions and assign action

- Distribute data quality reports to relevant stakeholders

- Mature the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies and standards across the organisation

- Define and monitor key DQ metric and trends

- Identify where standards and not currently met and propose resolutions

- Manage and monitor adherence to all data architecture policies and standards

To be successful as our Data Governance SME, you will have advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, including data quality management, data stewardship and data lifecycle management. In addition you should have;

- Experience with MDM initiatives, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across the organisation

- Familiarity with tools such as Azure Purview for data cataloguing and metadata management

- Knowledge of records management and retention practices, with experience using tools such as SharePoint or other lifecycle management systems

- Advanced analytical skills to monitor and manage data quality, perform root cause analysis and address data-related issues

- Ability to quickly assimilate key concepts for example operational business structures, business glossary definitions and architecture principles.
