eInvoicing Project Manager

Technical Project Manager – eInvoicing Compliance (Contract)

Duration: Initial 6 Months with likely extension

Location: UK or Ireland (occasional travel to Reading or Dublin)

Contract Type: Day Rate (Inside IR35 if UK based)

Primark is delivering a major compliance programme to meet new EU eInvoicing and digital reporting regulations coming into force from 2025 onwards. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead this high‐priority delivery and ensure we meet strict regulatory deadlines across multiple countries.

This is a critical role with significant visibility, working across Tax, Finance, Technology, Engineering, and external partners.

The Opportunity

You will lead the implementation of a new eInvoicing and digital tax reporting solution, replacing bespoke country integrations with a universal, scalable model. The project is funded, in flight, and currently focused on Poland and France - experience in these jurisdictions is highly desirable.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from implementation through post‐go‐live support
  • Drive delivery against aggressive regulatory timelines
  • Manage multiple 3rd‐party partners and implementation teams
  • Act as the bridge between Tax, Finance, Technology, and external fiscal advisors
  • Run technical discussions and challenge requirements where needed
  • Oversee cutover planning, AIS, and post‐go‐live triage
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and maintain clear reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure governance gates, compliance steps, and audit requirements are met
  • Establish project cadence, communication plans, and cross‐functional alignment

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience delivering eInvoicing compliance projects (e.g., Peppol, SAF-T, RTIR, VIDA, SII)
  • Strong knowledge of Poland and France digital tax requirements
  • Experience managing complex, cross‐functional technical projects
  • Ability to lead technical conversations and challenge assumptions
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with cutover planning, AIS, and portfolio reporting
  • Ability to work under pressure and pivot quickly to protect timelines

Why This Role Matters

This programme is mandatory, high‐risk, and business‐critical. You will play a key role in ensuring Primark meets its legal obligations, avoids financial penalties, and establishes a scalable compliance model for future EU markets.
