Job summary

Framfield House Surgery is looking to welcome a qualified dispenser into our busy in house dispensary, on a part time basis, with the hours to suit the successful applicant, who will play a full and active role as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

  • Maintain an efficient, accurate dispensing service to our patients.
  • Provide a professional dispensing service to our patients.
  • Label, dispense and check acute and repeat medication.
  • Support the team with additional duties applicable to the role.
  • Administration tasks associated within the dispensary team.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Diploma Level 2/3 Dispensary or equivalent Pharmacy Services qualification

Experience

Essential
  • At least 2 years (or equivalent) dispensary and pharmacy experience.
  • Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
  • Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in a GP practice setting.
  • The commitment to continue to learn new clinical skills and develop your career.
  • The confidence to work as part of a busy GP multi-disciplinary practice team and using your own initiative in decision making.
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible in your approach.
  • Excellent patient facing inter-personal communication skills.
