PCN Operations Manager/Digital Transformation Lead

Job summary

EAST:MK PCN has an exciting opportunity for a PCN Operations Manager/Digital & Transformation Lead to join our practice team on a full-time basis, for 37.5 hours per week.

The role will provide strategic leadership, operational management, and digital transformation expertise to ensure the network meets its contractual, financial, and workforce objectives. As the PCN continues to evolve, this role will be central to driving operational excellence, digital transformation, and strategic development.

    Main duties of the job

    • Strategic leadership and planning
    • Contribute to and deliver the PCN strategic development plan
    • Monitor PCN performance against objectives and contractual requirements
    • Identify risks, opportunities, and innovation pathways
    • Lead transformation programmes and manage interdependencies
    • Represent the PCN at relevant local meetings (ICS/CCG/NHSE)

      EAST:MK PCN covers a total population of around 58,000 patients, across its 4 practices in Milton Keynes: Ashfield Medical Centre, CMK Medical Centre, Milton Keynes Village Practice and the Grove Surgery. The member practices work collaboratively to deliver the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan and the Primary Care Network Directed Enhanced Service (PCN DES).

      The PCN currently delivers a range of joint services including:

        Qualifications

        Essential
        • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience in a relevant discipline.
        Desirable
        • Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, leadership, digital health, business administration or related field.
        • Formal qualification in programme or project management.

        Experience

        Essential
        • Evidence of continued professional development.
        • Administrative and business systems management
        • Project and business planning
        • Information management and data interpretation
        • Expertise in SystmOne, SNOMED and read codes
        • Ability to interpret and present qualitative and quantitative data
        • Administrative and/or business management role
