Data Scientist - Financial Services

The Role:

We're on the lookout for a Data Scientist who brings genuine depth in both data engineering and visualisation. You'll be joining a growing Data & Analytics team and stepping into a role that spans the full data journey - from architecting robust pipelines to turning complex datasets into insights that people actually act on.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark and SQL across distributed environments
• Wrangle and analyse large, complex datasets to surface meaningful patterns and trends
• Build data science solutions in Python - spanning exploratory analysis, predictive modelling, and workflow automation
• Develop clear, interactive Tableau dashboards that make insights accessible to stakeholders at every level
• Bridge the gap between raw data and business understanding through intuitive, well-crafted visualisations
• Partner with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into practical, data-driven solutions
• Own data quality and integrity across pipelines, transformations, and reporting outputs
• Deliver production-grade work that's built to scale

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, and Tableau
• A strong track record building end-to-end Tableau dashboards, from data preparation through to final delivery
• Solid PySpark experience, particularly for large-scale data processing and pipeline development
• A firm grasp of data transformation, modelling principles, and big data environments
• Versatility across both data science and data engineering disciplines
• A sharp analytical mindset with a focus on generating insights that drive real decisions
