Lead Data Scientist - Databricks, Python, DV Cleared

Lead Data Scientist with strong Databricks experience required for a secure data programme delivering advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.

You will lead the design and deployment of machine learning models using Databricks, working across data preparation, experimentation and production deployment. The role involves close collaboration with technical teams and senior stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes within a secure environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone comfortable owning the data science life cycle and influencing project direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead machine learning development using Databricks

• Build and deploy models using Python and PySpark

• Work with data engineers and platform teams on production data pipelines

• Translate business problems into data science solutions

• Present insights and outcomes to senior stakeholders

• Support best practice in model development and deployment

Required experience

• Strong hands-on Databricks experience

• Python and PySpark for data science and machine learning

• Experience deploying models into production

• Strong stakeholder communication skills

• DV Clearance

Desirable

• MLflow or MLOps exposure

• Experience working in secure or government environments

• Azure or AWS cloud platforms
