Due to continued business growth, our client is looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support across the organisation, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, networks and hardware that support day-to-day business activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests across the business.
  • Providing timely troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software and network issues.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
  • Monitoring and supporting IT systems, networks and user devices.
  • Setting up new user accounts, profiles and system access permissions.
  • Supporting password resets and user access issues.
  • Assisting with the rollout and implementation of new software and technologies.
  • Replacing hardware components and carrying out basic repairs where required.
  • Maintaining accurate IT documentation and knowledge base resources.
  • Supporting users both remotely and face-to-face, explaining technical issues in a clear and user-friendly way.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies and systems.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience within an IT Support, Helpdesk, Desktop Support or similar IT role.
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware, peripherals and networking fundamentals.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support users of varying technical abilities.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple support requests effectively.
  • A methodical and logical approach to fault finding.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
