Business Development Manager

We are working with a fast-growing IT and cybersecurity services provider that supports organisations across the UK. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to focus on winning new business and expanding their cybersecurity customer base.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven IT sales professional who thrives in a new business environment and wants to be supported by strong marketing, inbound lead generation, and a structured sales framework.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition, primarily selling Microsoft Cybersecurity solutions to SME organisations. You will manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to close, working closely with a team of SDRs and benefiting from warm inbound leads.

You will also have access to ongoing sales coaching and enablement, ensuring you have the tools and support needed to consistently exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and win new SME customers within the IT and cybersecurity space
  • Sell Microsoft Cybersecurity solutions, articulating technical and commercial value
  • Manage the full new business sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Work alongside SDRs to convert outbound and inbound leads into qualified opportunities
  • Follow up on warm inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
  • Develop trusted relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years' proven success in IT sales or technology-focused business development
  • Experience selling cybersecurity, Microsoft solutions, or managed IT services is highly desirable
  • Strong new business hunter with a track record of closing deals
  • Confident communicator
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and keen to progress within a growing business
