Digital Building Consultant
Our client are seeking a Digital Building Consultant to join their growing Digital Buildings team.
You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end consulting services on smart building projects - from early-stage strategy, design specifications and RFPs, through to vendor selection, construction-phase coordination, and deployment oversight.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in Building Management Systems (BMS/BEMS) and IoT, a working knowledge of construction environments, and the ability to bridge the gap between design intent and operational performance.
Job Duties:
- Assist in content production and provide expected timing estimates for the sales team
- Attend and present SMART services in sales meetings with potential clients at remote sites
- Initiate SMART projects by understanding the scope and confirming feasibility
- Host workshops in accordance with the needs of the client, including setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks and for information gathering
- Regular coordination with your line manager, the internal MiX project team, if included, and the client and design team stakeholders at a frequency to be communicated by the overall project PM or your line manager
- Produce and deliver RIBA stage documentation as per the scope of the project, typically specifications, reports and designs including sketches and drawings
- Development of strategic SMART brief with Clients
- Production of Meeting Notes and budget reports
- Carry out high level product research to remain up to date with the tools available to enable a SMART Building
- Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time
- Track and implement any necessary changes throughout the project process
- Provide insight as a team member to further develop the SMART offering to clients
- Coordinate and assist in producing templates, documentation, tools and business strategies to aid the working process for SMART
- Provide Clients with post occupancy review and support

Qualifications / Requirements:
- PRINCE2 (Bonus but not Required)
- IT/AV Technical Knowledge
