Your new firm:
Our client is one of the world's most respected professional services firms, with a leading Innovation & Capital Incentives team working across the UK, US, and globally.Following significant growth in demand for R&D tax incentives, they are seeking a Manager to join their high-profile practice. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-growing department, working alongside tax, finance, and technology specialists to deliver real impact for clients at the forefront of innovation.
Your new role:
As a Manager, you'll lead junior software consultants and support clients across industries developing cutting-edge technologies. You'll act as the bridge between technical engineering teams and tax specialists, ensuring high-quality R&D tax submissions in line with HMRC and IRS requirements.
What your days will look like:
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor junior consultants, foster collaboration, and coach them to take ownership of projects.
- Client Engagement: Lead technical discussions with engineers, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and support business development.
- Technical Communication: Translate complex software and technology into clear, accurate R&D claims and reports.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Align technical insights with tax/finance teams, identify process improvements, and oversee efficient client submissions.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience writing/reviewing code in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, or Go.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern architecture patterns (microservices, REST APIs).
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience using tools like Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
