A leading technology manufacturer is seeking a Service Technician to join its Service Centre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, calibrating, cleaning, fault-finding, and repairing specialist fusion splicer equipment, ensuring repairs are completed to the highest quality standards while achieving productivity and efficiency targets.
Key Responsibilities as a Service Technician
- Calibrate, service, clean, and repair specialist fusion splicer products.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Meet agreed repair quality and efficiency targets.
- Record service and repair information accurately using the company ERP system.
- Follow company quality, health and safety, and service procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
Candidate Requirements as a Service Technician
- Previous experience servicing or repairing small electro-mechanical devices requiring precision handling.
- Strong practical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or opto-electronic technologies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
