Account Manager

Job Purpose:

The Account Manager must demonstrate a strong customer-focused mindset and take a proactive approach to ensuring customers realise ongoing value from our solutions. Working closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders, the Account Manager will support the development and nurturing of Proactis’ accounts to strengthen relationships and drive retention.

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small to mid-sized existing accounts, building strong day-to-day relationships, supporting renewals, and identifying early-stage growth opportunities.

The role is focused on maintaining long-term customer relationships, ensuring high engagement and satisfaction, and contributing to sustainable account growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Retention & Relationship Management

  • Own a portfolio of small to mid-tier accounts.
  • Build strong working relationships with operational and mid-level stakeholders.
  • Ensure customers are regularly engaged and aware of new functionality, roadmap updates, and value delivered.
  • Identify potential churn signals early and escalate appropriately to Senior AM.
  • Support renewal conversations and prepare documentation and commercial proposals where appropriate.

Growth & Commercial Awareness

  • Identify early-stage expansion opportunities and collaborate with Senior AM or Sales to progress.
  • Spot usage gaps or additional module opportunities based on customer maturity.
  • Contribute to Net Revenue Retention (NRR) through proactive engagement and value reinforcement.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain structured account plans for assigned accounts (light-touch compared to Senior AM).
  • Prepare materials and data insights for QBRs led by Senior Account Managers.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy, renewal forecasting, and pipeline hygiene.
  • Track and report on account health metrics and customer feedback.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or B2B relationship management.
  • Experience working in a SaaS or technology-led environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness and comfort discussing renewals and pricing conversations.
  • Ability to interpret customer usage data and translate insights into action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce (desirable).
