Are you ready to bring your technical expertise into a dynamic, regulated financial services environment? Our client is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join their team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing bespoke applications that power critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on support for bespoke and custom-built applications hosted on Windows Server environments in load-balanced pools.• Troubleshoot and maintain services within a logic layer, ensuring seamless performance.• Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, translating complex issues into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.• Drive automation and secure file transfers using PowerShell, SFTP, and WinSCP.• Uphold security standards with protocols including Entra ID.• Manage code repositories and deployments using GIT.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven background in application support, ideally within regulated or financial services environments.• Strong proficiency in SQL coding and relational databases.• Familiarity with alerting, monitoring, and APM tools.• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to engage across all levels of the business.• Technically versatile, with a broad understanding of application ecosystems.
