Pre-Sales & Enterprise Solutions Architect (Hybrid)

We are partnering with one of the world's largest and most respected organisations to recruit an experienced Pre-Sales & Enterprise Solutions Architect. This is a key client-facing role focused on driving digital transformation initiatives and designing innovative software solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The successful candidate will combine strong enterprise architecture expertise with a proven track record in pre-sales, particularly within bespoke and custom-built software solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives, shape solution vision, and guide technical decision-making throughout the sales life cycle.

Key Responsibilities Pre-Sales Leadership
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and technical presentations.
  • Deliver solution demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Support bid responses, including RFPs and RFIs.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate business and technical value.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities and build trusted client relationships.
Solution Architecture & Design
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, robust technical solutions.
  • Design enterprise-level architectures aligned to client objectives and technology strategies.
  • Produce solution architecture diagrams, implementation roadmaps, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable, technically sound, and future-proof.
Technical Consultancy
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the sales and solution design process.
  • Advise clients on application modernisation, cloud adoption, digital transformation, and software engineering best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovative solution development.
Skills & Experience Technical Expertise
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within IT, including at least 5 years in a senior pre-sales, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture role.
  • Strong background in software development, application modernisation, and enterprise technology transformation.
  • Experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience with technologies and platforms such as OpenText/Micro Focus, TmaxSoft, Astadia, Dynatrace, Appian, Pega, OutSystems, and Mambu would be highly advantageous.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Pre-Sales Experience
  • Demonstrable success supporting enterprise sales cycles from discovery through to solution definition and proposal submission.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with clients and deliver persuasive technical presentations.
  • Experience developing strategic relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
