Senior Data Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join ASAP on a permanent basis. In this role you will work closely with the CTO and Data & Reporting Manager to define/implement the long-term strategies around Data and MI reports.

Key skills for this role are: Driving data strategy using SQL, Redshift & QuickSight.

Location – Watford

Hybrid working

Salary - £85,000

The role is Hybrid working from their offices in Watford. To be considered for the role you must have the following essential experience:

•             4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or on a similar role.

•             Extensive experience with SQL, Amazon Redshift & ideally MySQL.

•             Experience with visualisation tools, ideally with Amazon QuickSight.

•             AWS Glue and the ability to write Python scripts, e.g. for ETL.

•             Excellent data modelling skills.

•             Developing ETL & ELT processes from multiple data sources & types.

•             Dashboard design and development.

•             Experience working in a collaborative Agile environment.

•             Mentoring skills for the less experienced members of the team.

•             Practical experience with JIRA & Confluence.

•             Knowledge of SAP Business Objects would be helpful but not necessary – currently in use but in the process of migrating to Redshift & QuickSight.
