Test Automation Lead
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Hybrid - 2 days a week on site in the Staines area
A well-established technology organisation is seeking a Test Automation Lead to take ownership of its automation strategy and ensure the quality and reliability of its software solutions. This is a key role within the testing and service delivery function, working across multiple projects in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and suites for both new development and ongoing maintenance.

Collaborate closely with development, testing, DevOps, and business analysis teams to define test strategies and integrate automation into the delivery pipeline.

Lead the planning and execution of end-to-end testing, ensuring coverage across APIs, functional flows, and integrations.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, promoting best practices in automated testing.

Manage workload prioritisation within the automation team and support the delivery of high-quality releases on schedule.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation within the testing function.

Document test procedures, report on progress, and escalate risks or issues where appropriate.

7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.

Proficient in C# .NET and experienced in building and maintaining automation frameworks aligned with coding standards.

Strong experience with API test automation and CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps or similar platforms.

Comfortable working across a range of testing types, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing support.

Familiar with Agile methodologies and collaborative, cross-functional development environments.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Strong organisational and planning abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification and resolution.
