Infrastructure Engineer - Switzerland
Job Summary: To help us build systems that support key infrastructure components to delivery real-time automation environments for our internal and external customers, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who can be responsible for building and maintaining our hardware environments on-premise, cloud based, or hybrid models. The Infrastructure Engineer position participates on a team responsible for operational monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure systems that support DevOps and deployment platforms that support Warehouse Automation products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Support server, storage and networking operations (Linux, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, or other server systems).
- Assist with database administration (DBA) task, including backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot basic issues in servers, databases, and network devices.
- Help manage user access control, IAM policies, and basic security configurations.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or CloudFormation) for automation.
- Document infrastructure setups and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational activities and actions supported by the infrastructure components.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 0-2 Years experience in same or similar role within a infrastructure organization.
- Basic understanding of server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages with some practical use (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with databases and basic DBA task (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) and backup strategies.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows environment and administration.
- Some exposure or knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, VPNs).
- Working knowledge or understanding of cloud services and feature capabilities for IaaS and other services (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
- Detail oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills.
