Based in East London, this is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering function supporting a highly automated production operation.

THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will help ensure the production operation continues to run safely, efficiently and reliably.
The role will involve:
- Planned preventative maintenance across automated production equipment
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
- Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
- Working to minimise production downtime
- Identifying recurring equipment issues
- Supporting root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with Production and other engineering disciplines
- Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and performance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working to high standards of health and safety
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong manufacturing background and a genuine interest in modern engineering and automation.
You will ideally have:
- City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
- Previous Maintenance Engineer experience within FMCG, manufacturing, production or process environments
- Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience working with production machinery
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- A desire to learn and develop technically
- An interest in automation and continuous improvement
- Full right to work in the UK
