Position: Production Operative
Location: Cramlington
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Cramlington.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production environment where you will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of mechanical and electrical products. The successful candidate will receive training and work as part of a supportive production team.
The role will involve a combination of hands-on assembly, soldering, PCB work, product testing and operating manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical products in line with manufacturing instructions and safety procedures
- Carry out hands-on assembly using a range of handheld tools
- Complete PCB assembly and associated production tasks
- Perform hand soldering, including through-hole components
- Assemble finished products to the required specification
- Carry out functional and quality testing of completed products
- Work as part of a production team to achieve daily targets
- Complete quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Accurately complete relevant production and quality documentation
- Operate machinery and equipment as required, including metal press equipment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Skills:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred
- Soldering Expereince
- Practical, hands-on approach to work
- Good attention to detail and concentration
- Comfortable working with hand tools and production equipment
- Good team-working skills
- Able to follow instructions and established processes accurately
- Able to work efficiently in a target-driven environment
- Willingness to learn new processes and develop manufacturing skills
- Comfortable standing and working on your feet for the majority of a shift
