Our client is looking for an experienced Application Development & Support Manager to lead the delivery, enhancement, and support of critical business applications within a banking environment .

This role combines hands-on technical leadership, team management, and operational oversight , ensuring business-critical systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop a team of developers and application support analysts
  • Oversee the full application lifecycle – design, delivery, and BAU support
  • Deliver system enhancements and new applications that support core banking operations
  • Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause resolution
  • Work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors
  • Ensure systems meet security, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Monitor performance, coordinate upgrades, and maintain documentation
  • Manage BAU and small-change budgets while driving efficiency improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience within banking or financial services
  • Strong background in software development and application lifecycle management
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
  • Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure desirable)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
