Our client is looking for an experienced Application Development & Support Manager to lead the delivery, enhancement, and support of critical business applications within a banking environment.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership, team management, and operational oversight, ensuring business-critical systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and develop a team of developers and application support analysts
- Oversee the full application lifecycle – design, delivery, and BAU support
- Deliver system enhancements and new applications that support core banking operations
- Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause resolution
- Work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors
- Ensure systems meet security, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Monitor performance, coordinate upgrades, and maintain documentation
- Manage BAU and small-change budgets while driving efficiency improvements
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within banking or financial services
- Strong background in software development and application lifecycle management
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
- Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
