Production Engineer

Proclinical is seeking a Production Engineer to support the development and delivery of innovative animal care technology. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production processes and high-quality outcomes. This position involves supporting production floors globally, troubleshooting issues, and driving improvements in hardware, software, and testing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead hardware, ATE (Automatic Test Equipment), and software changes for new and legacy products, including NPI (New Product Introduction) and EOL (End of Life) updates.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures for new products, including test station duplication, wiring, validation, and ongoing support.
  • Conduct failure analysis and reliability testing for critical product components.
  • Provide technical support to local and global production floors.
  • Collaborate with production line engineers to deploy and maintain testers at international production sites.
  • Document and communicate results effectively to peers and management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in production processes and systems.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of production line tester design, maintenance, and electronic design (analog, digital, and radio).
  • Knowledge of electronics components, PCB/PCBA design, assembly processes, batteries, RF/IR testing methods, and ATE systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with hardware systems, embedded interfaces, networks, instrumentation, debugging, and system-level integration.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multicultural team environment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a strong problem solver with a hands-on approach.
  • Familiarity with SQA and LabVIEW tools.
  • Experience with RF communication and connected smart products.
  • Background in complex multidisciplinary projects requiring advanced technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing databases, production data pipelines, and engineering data analysis tools.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, external vendors, and procurement processes for testers or prototype parts.
