Product Manager - Smart Metering

Product Manager - Smart Metering (UK / Remote)Profectus Recruitment is partnered with a UK-based technology business operating in the smart metering and energy data space to hire an experienced Product Manager. This is a fully remote role, with occasional on-site client meetings (typically 1–2 days per month).The key requirement for this role is deep subject-matter expertise in Smart Metering. This is not a tooling-led Product Manager position; the business is specifically looking for someone who understands the GB smart metering ecosystem and can bring that knowledge into product direction and decision-making.What they’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Product Manager within Smart Metering, Energy, or Utilities
• Strong understanding of the GB Smart Metering landscape
• Hands-on knowledge of DCC, smart meter data flows, and industry processes
• Experience working with or around SMETS2 (SME2) environments
• Comfortable owning product priorities and acting as the domain expert within the team
• Able to translate industry complexity into clear product outcomes

Nice to have

• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar
• Exposure to SaaS or data-led platforms
