Business Development Manager – Cybersecurity

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in accelerating growth within the cybersecurity sector. This is a fast-paced, commercially focused role requiring a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to position advanced security solutions that solve real-world business challenges. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll help clients define and execute their security strategies through consultative, solution-led engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and prospect new business opportunities across target industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close — including qualification, demos, proposals, and negotiation.
  • Promote and position advanced cybersecurity services (EDR, MDR, XDR) as trusted solutions for client security needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, influencing strategic security investments.
  • Develop creative prospecting campaigns using tools such as Apollo. io, OneShot. ai, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Stay informed on cybersecurity trends and competitive positioning, particularly with vendors such as CrowdStrike and Microsoft.
  • Collaborate with technical, SOC, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery and client success.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets through disciplined pipeline management and account planning.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and market insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to drive brand visibility and lead generation.

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity sales (MSSP or vendor environment) with a strong record of new business success.
  • Solid technical sales experience across EDR, MDR, and XDR solutions.
  • Knowledge of key cybersecurity vendors such as CrowdStrike and Microsoft (highly desirable).
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly driven, target-focused, and proactive in approach.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
