Senior Project Manager - Workday/Oracle Integration
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record delivering Workday or cloud-based HRIS transformation projects across complex, global environments. This individual will lead multiple HR technology initiatives including HCM implementations, Time & Absence projects, New Hire data workflows, and Workday-Oracle integrations.
The ideal candidate brings strong functional understanding of HR processes combined with hands-on delivery leadership across cross-functional technology, data, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of HR technology projects across Workday and the broader HRIS landscape.
- Manage HCM implementation workstreams including Core HR, Time & Absence, Onboarding/New Hire data, and HR operations.
- Oversee planning, execution, RAID management, governance, and delivery milestones.
- Drive integrations between Workday HCM and downstream systems such as Oracle ERP/Payroll, Finance platforms, and other enterprise applications.
- Coordinate technical teams, functional SMEs, HR stakeholders, vendor partners, and systems integrators.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement clarification, solution walkthroughs, UAT cycles, and change management activities.
- Partner with HR leadership to align technology delivery with process redesign, operating model changes, and adoption plans.
- Provide executive-level reporting and status updates on progress, dependencies, and risks.
- Support resource planning, estimation, financial tracking, and vendor management.
Essential Experience
- Proven delivery of Workday projects OR major cloud-based HRIS programmes (Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors).
- Strong understanding of HR processes across Core HR, Time & Absence, Onboarding, and organisational data management.
- Experience delivering HR data integrations between Workday HCM and downstream systems (e.g., Oracle ERP/Payroll, Finance, or Identity platforms).
- Background in managing multi-threaded, cross-functional HR transformation initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with HR Directors, technical leads, and system integrators.
- Strong project governance approach: RAID, change control, financial tracking, milestone reporting.
- Experience coordinating technical, functional, and business teams across multiple geographies.
- Ability to challenge, influence, and drive decisions in complex organisations.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Workday Studio, PECI, or Core Connector awareness.
- Experience with Workday-Oracle HCM or Workday-ERP integration landscapes.
- HR data migration or HR reporting/analytics exposure.
- Prior consulting or systems integrator experience.
