Network and Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to be based at their client's office in Edinburgh, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Edinburgh office 2-3 days per week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers' success by fostering a balanced relationship that benefits both company and the customer with the goal of producing the highest level of customer support and satisfaction
  • Take a leadership role in strategising with internal staff and customers to solve and prevent re-occurrence of issues
  • Engage with customers on day-to-day issues; organise customer calls to facilitate implementation of solutions and Cyber Security guidelines
  • Knowledge transfer - write user/technical documentation and case notes
  • Act as a technical resource for staff. Mentors staff in troubleshooting and analysis methods
  • Primary contributor to Knowledge Base system for customer specific issues that will benefit the greater customer and support team
  • Analyse and troubleshoot issues involving all aspects of customer solutions
  • Adhere to all Quality processes

Key Requirements

  • Good understanding of Network & Cyber Security practice to implement in utilities systems
  • Good knowledge of product development in Agile & DevOps
  • Utilities system and Power system applications support
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Positive attitude when dealing with customers and co-workers in stressful situations
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and diagnostics solutions and concepts
  • Strong knowledge on Software development, life cycle and Agile development process
  • Hands-on experience in creating Dev Ops Pipeline, containerisation etc
  • Experience on Cyber Security concepts for Software/product development, capability of analysing cyber vulnerabilities and providing mitigation steps
  • Capability to set up process for Cyber Security guidelines for Product development and setting up tools for enforcing those guidelines
  • Risk identification and management
  • Data management and analysis

Special Working Conditions

  • Ability to be part of an on-call rotation for after business hour customer calls
  • Ability to travel to customer sites
