HIGH VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN / HV ENGINEER – NORTH EAST – £55,000 TO £65,000 + OVERTIME + VEHICLE + BONUS

A High Voltage Technician / HV Engineer to join a specialist electrical engineering business supporting industrial and power sector clients across the UK.
You'll be involved in a mix of installation, commissioning, testing, fault finding and maintenance activities on electrical distribution infrastructure, working alongside experienced HV professionals on safety-critical projects.
WHAT YOU NEED...
Time-served electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical engineering qualification
Experience working on HV and LV electrical systems
Testing, commissioning, maintenance or installation experience
Fault finding and troubleshooting capability
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, permits to work and site compliance requirements
Full UK driving licence
Experience within industrial, utilities, manufacturing, renewables, process or power generation environments

Day To Day
Carry out HV and LV installation activities
Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Commission electrical distribution equipment
Perform testing and inspection activities
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
Produce technical reports and service documentation
Support project delivery teams on customer sites
Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards
Communicate technical findings with customers and stakeholders
