Contract Role: Python Engineer with React experience, EdTech Start-Up (Outside IR35)

We're looking for a Python Engineer with 4–5 years' commercial experience to join an exciting EdTech start-up through a consultancy engagement. This is a hands-on build role where you'll work closely with Head of Tech helping to drive key product features while keeping exposure to the end client limited.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, expertise in microservices architecture, and proficiency in Python.

Required Qualifications:

● 3+ years of experience in backend development.

● Strong proficiency in Python.

● Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

● Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI (Python).

● Proficiency in working with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

● Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

● Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

● Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
