Solutions Architect

🚀 Technology Solution Architect | Leading International Law Firm | London (Hybrid)🚀

I’m currently partnering with a leading international law firm who are building out their Technology Architecture capability and are looking to hire a Technology Solution Architect to join a newly forming team.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal point in the firm’s transformation journey. Technology is central to the organisation’s strategy, and the architecture function is being actively built out to support enterprise-wide modernisation, integration, and digital enablement.

You will be joining a small architecture team of just three people (including the Head of Architecture), meaning this is a genuinely hands-on role where you will not only design solutions, but also help shape how architecture is done within the organisation.

The Opportunity

• This is not a “maintain existing standards” type of architecture role.
• You will be part of a team that is defining and establishing the architecture capability from the ground up, including ways of working, documentation standards, integration patterns, and governance approaches across the firm.
• You will work across complex enterprise systems and multiple domains, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions while working closely with delivery teams and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned to business and enterprise objectives
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and architectural documentation
• Define APIs, integration patterns, message flows, and system interfaces across enterprise platforms
• Work closely with engineering and delivery teams through build, test, and early-life support phases
• Help establish and embed consistent architecture standards, patterns, and governance approaches
• Define and validate non-functional requirements including performance, security, scalability, and resilience
• Contribute to build vs buy decisions and technology selection
• Produce Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and support governance forums
• Collaborate with Data, Security, Platform, and Product stakeholders across the organisation
• Support the development of an architecture repository and structured documentation approach

Tech Environment

• Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API Management)
• SQL Server and enterprise data integration
• API-led integration and messaging architectures
• CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Enterprise systems including platforms such as iManage, Aderant, and Intapp

✅ What they’re looking for

• Experience in Solution Architecture or Senior Technical Design roles
• Strong integration and API architecture background
• Azure experience
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and resilience
• Experience in complex or regulated environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills

Experience with legal or professional services platforms is beneficial but not essential.
