A leading UK-based technology services provider is seeking a Bid Manager to take ownership of the bid lifecycle, ensuring submissions are of a high standard, strategically sound, and aligned with internal governance processes. This role sits at the heart of commercial growth and requires someone confident in managing multi-disciplinary inputs across a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Role Objectives:
You’llbe responsible for steering complex bids from inception to submission, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll bring clarity to opportunity qualification, add structure to solutioning, and elevate the quality and competitiveness of proposals.
Key Duties:

Build strong working relationships with teams including sales, marketing, product development, legal, finance, and delivery.

Shape bid strategies, craft compelling value propositions, and contribute to solution architecture where needed.

Engage with clients during bidding phases when appropriate to clarify needs and articulate value.

Support the sales team through the opportunity qualification and customer engagement process.

Ensure all commercial and technical submissions are accurate, compliant, and strategically positioned.

Oversee risk management and compliance processes, ensuring all proposals align with company policy and governance.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams through high-value bid processes, from identification through to contract handover.

Identify inefficiencies in existing bid practices and propose continuous improvements.

Maintain and enhance proposal libraries, templates, and standard content for future reuse.

Share lessons learned and contribute to internal capability-building initiatives.

Keep stakeholders informed of bid timelines and adapt plans to changing priorities.
Required Skills & Experience:

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Demonstrated success in managing bids for IT services, infrastructure, or complex technical solutions.

Skilled at improving content quality, identifying gaps, and developing winning narratives.

Comfortable working under pressure and coordinating inputs from multiple departments.

Experience preparing executive summaries and tailoring proposals for senior-level audiences.
