- Lead the evolution and execution of the renewals strategy and roadmap, ensuring it supports overall business growth plans.
- Promote the adoption of the renewals process across sales and operations, encouraging a mindset of proactive, customer-focused renewal management.
- Create and present a clear business case, demonstrating real results and benefits achieved through transformation initiatives.
- Drive ongoing improvement projects, embedding improved practices, streamlining renewals practices, and delivering both immediate and long-term impact.
- Design and implement effective training and support programmes for Sales and Operations teams to strengthen renewals capabilities.
- Work in close partnership with commercial, sales, finance, vendor and product teams to maximise renewals performance.
- Establish robust processes to improve retention rates, profitability, and cross-sell/upsell opportunities, with an early focus on Software and Enterprise portfolios.
- Assess revenue, margin and churn trends, using customer feedback to shape practical improvements.
- Promote the use of data and automation to work smarter, while helping shape future tech and make our systems better
- Represent renewals in ‘Configure, Price, Quote’-related projects, ensuring priorities and requirements are reflected while coordinating with wider operational teams.
- Extensive experience in Renewals Management within an IT VAR or technology/software-focused business.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategy and operational transformation programmes.
- Track record of improving revenue, margin, retention and customer experience through renewals process optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across diverse teams and levels.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to make data-led decisions.
- Experience in change management and championing automation initiatives.
- Good knowledge of vendor ecosystems and licensing/renewals frameworks.
