We work seamlessly across practices, industries and jurisdictions with asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies, major sports leagues, entertainment industry legends, and other industry-redefining companies.

The Applications Operations Analyst is responsible for the operational support and continuous improvement of the firm’s enterprise application environment, comprising centrally governed, firmwide systems that support legal service delivery, financial and matter management, document and information governance, client intake and risk compliance, knowledge and collaboration, talent operations, and enterprise reporting. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, security, performance, and integration stability of these platforms through proactive maintenance, patching, monitoring, and controlled change management. Support responsibilities are application- and platform-focused, involving system configuration, issue diagnosis, and coordination with vendors or internal teams.

The Applications Operations Analyst also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, operational documentation, and platform optimisation in partnership with application owners and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform ongoing system maintenance, patching, and upgrades in coordination with change management procedures.
  • Manage user access controls, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Monitor system health and performance; initiate health checks and proactively remediate issues.
  • Act as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for application-related incidents and service requests, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term remediation rather than first-contact resolution.
  • Serve as an operational owner for assigned enterprise applications, accountable for availability, performance, patching cadence, and risk remediation.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and break/fix support for application-level issues, including log analysis, configuration review, and coordination with vendors or engineering teams.
  • Execute system configuration changes and support business application integrations.
  • Remediate application vulnerabilities in collaboration with Information Security.
  • Participate in security audits and access reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with firmwide data protection and change management policies.
  • Conduct retrospectives and post-escalation RCA reviews for Tier 2/3 incidents to identify process and system improvements.
  • Own application health across production environments, including monitoring, patching cadence, and operational risk.
  • Contribute to operational readiness reviews for new applications and enhancements.
  • Maintain and improve environment documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge base articles.
  • Track and report on improvement KPIs (e.g., ticket trends, patching success rates).
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose automation or process changes.
  • Monitor application performance and assist with capacity planning and tuning.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support system scalability and optimisation.
  • Review, prepare, and implement approved changes following structured change control processes.
  • Support application deployments and participate in test validations.
  • Provide integration support across dependent systems and external vendors.
  • Facilitate alignment between delivery teams, Information Security, and Infrastructure.
  • Track and report on application usage, adoption trends, and user engagement using analytics tools.
  • Measure and report system uptime, availability, SLAs, and service performance trends.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and monitor adoption success criteria for newly implemented applications.
  • Use telemetry and analytics to identify opportunities for user enablement and feature optimisation.
  • Ensure successful completion of automated jobs and other scheduled operational tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications in a Tier 2/3 operations, applications support, or production support environment.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of access management, patch management, and vulnerability remediation processes.
  • Practical experience operating within ITIL-aligned Incident, Problem, and Change Management frameworks in a controlled production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with documentation and support knowledge base tools.
  • Experience supporting applications in legal, financial services, or other regulated professional services environments.
  • Hands-on experience with application performance tuning, cloud platforms, or scripting for operational tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications.
