About the Role
Our client, a UK-based manufacturing organisation, is undergoing a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) transformation. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead this implementation end-to-end — owning delivery, stakeholder alignment, and risk/issue management across functional and technical workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery plan for the D365 F&O implementation — scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and RAID management.
- Act as the primary liaison between client business stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Production/Plant Operations) and the implementation partner/technical team.
- Drive governance: steering committee reporting, milestone tracking, change control, and go-live readiness assessments.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies across Finance, Manufacturing Execution, Procurement, and Supply Chain modules within F&O.
- Lead cutover planning, UAT coordination, data migration checkpoints, and hypercare transition post go-live.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks specific to manufacturing industry environments
- Provide clear, concise status reporting to senior client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall Project Management experience, with a demonstrable track record of managing at least one full-cycle Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX) implementation as PM (not just functional/BA role).
- Prior experience delivering ERP programmes within manufacturing background strongly preferred (chemicals, food, pharma, materials, etc.).
- Strong command of ERP project methodologies (Microsoft Sure Step / Agile / hybrid) and standard PM frameworks (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — proven ability to manage senior client sponsors, and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite/steering committees.
- Based in or able to commute/relocate within reasonable distance of Cheshire, UK, for hybrid on-site work.
- Valid UK right to work — no sponsorship available.
