AV Freelance Engineer - Residential

Job Title: Freelance AV Install / Service Engineer (Residential)
Location: London
Pay: £200.00 - £250.00 per day (depending on experience)

An established residential AV integration company is looking for experienced Freelance AV Install and Service Engineers to support a growing pipeline of high-end residential projects.

This role offers flexible freelance work on a day-rate basis, installing, servicing, and maintaining premium home automation and AV systems in luxury homes and apartments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, commissioning, and servicing of residential AV and smart home systems
• Working with systems such as Control4, Crestron Home, Lutron, Savant, and high-end audio solutions
• First and second fix AV cabling, rack building, and equipment installation
• Diagnosing and repairing faults across AV, lighting control, and home network systems
• Reading technical drawings and system schematics
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers on-site to deliver a high-quality service

Requirements:

• Proven experience in residential AV installations and/or service
• Strong understanding of smart home technologies and integrated AV systems
• Ability to work independently and represent the business professionally
• Full set of tools and PPE
• ECS/CSCS certification (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence and own reliable transport (essential)
• Availability for immediate or short-notice freelance work
