Onsite AV Technician (Corporate Environment - Single Site)

We're working with a well-established technology services organisation delivering high-end audio-visual and collaboration solutions to enterprise clients. They are looking for an experienced Onsite AV Technician to be embedded at a key London client site, acting as the primary point of contact for all AV support and engineering activity.

This is a hands-on role combining meeting room / AV support with a strong focus on break-fix troubleshooting and engineering, ensuring systems remain fully operational in a fast-paced corporate environment.

The Role

You will take ownership of all AV and meeting room systems onsite, ensuring minimal downtime and the highest level of service delivery. This includes proactive maintenance, reactive support, and fault resolution across a broad range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite AV and meeting room support for end users, ensuring a seamless experience
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults quickly and effectively (critical focus on breakfix)
  • Perform repairs down to component level where required
  • Support and maintain video conferencing, presentation, control, and display technologies
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise system downtime
  • Read and interpret system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Conduct routine testing, fault logging, and equipment calibration
  • Manage and track onsite AV hardware inventory
  • Work to defined SLAs, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Liaise with wider support teams where needed to ensure full service continuity
  • Proactively suggest improvements to systems, processes, and service delivery
Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in AV support within a corporate or client-facing environment
  • Proven breakfix / fault-finding capability is essential
  • Solid understanding of AV systems including video conferencing, audio, display, and control
  • Experience with DSP, audio systems, and meeting room technologies
  • Familiarity with control systems (e.g. Crestron or similar)
  • Knowledge of IP-based AV / VC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot methodically and work under pressure
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working independently as the sole onsite engineer
Desirable
  • AV or electronics-related qualification
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale AV environments
