Audio Visual Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities
You'll be the technical linchpin across all project phases, including:
RFP & Pre-Sales Support
- Interpret consultant and contract RFP documents
- Support technical tender documentation and attend client meetings as needed
Preconstruction & Construction
- Lead pre-construction workshops and translate outputs into actionable plans
- Develop and manage technical submittals and internal design briefings
- Coordinate design queries and ensure drawing accuracy before external submission
Change Control
- Manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with consultants and internal teams to ensure updates are implemented across all departments
- Track and document changes for inclusion in O&M manuals
Rack Build & Testing
- Oversee rack build and pre-staging tests to ensure readiness for consultant witness testing
- Validate programming and system integration against the latest design specs
IT/UC & Commissioning
- Collaborate with AV/UC engineers to manage HLDs and IT interface schedules
- Support commissioning, testing, and final handover on-site
Documentation
- Ensure all O&M documentation is accurate and reflects final system configurations
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a senior technical AV role, ideally within a global integrator or consultancy
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and IT integration (AMX, Crestron, Extron, DSPs, VC platforms)
- Excellent understanding of AV design, installation, and commissioning processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead internal teams and liaise with clients and consultants
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and documentation
- Experience supporting both UK and international projects is highly desirable
