Senior M&E Designer - Audio Visual
A leading global audio-visual integrator is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Designer to join their established team in Egham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the most technically challenging and diverse AV projects in the industry, contributing to high-profile solutions delivered across a wide range of sectors.
As a key member of the Design Team, you will take ownership of complex system designs, ensuring they are technically accurate, specification-compliant, and fully fit for purpose before progressing to the wider engineering function. You will play a pivotal role in driving M&E design packages to completion, maintaining exceptional standards and meeting agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead M&E design for complex AV systems using AutoCAD.
- Apply a strong understanding of AV technologies and system interfacing.
- Review specifications, BOMs and scoping documents to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Design bespoke metalwork and custom engineering components.
- Attend and initiate meetings with senior technical, engineering and project delivery teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design standards and processes.
- Use an agile approach to prioritise and deliver tasks within defined timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Apply high-level engineering design practices, including proof-of-concept work where required.
- Allocate M&E design resource to projects and manage handovers following kick-off meetings.
- Act as a point of contact for M&E-related queries within the team.
- Support and mentor M&E trainees.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an M&E AV Systems Designer.
- Proven ability to deliver complex AV system designs using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of current AV technologies and system integration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a proactive mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Self-sufficient, organised and able to manage workload to meet deadlines.
